BIOGRAPHY

It all started in 1998 when Mistie were chosen to play at "Popstad", a Swedish music festival which was broadcast live on national radio.The festival was in there home town and gave them a real taste for the music scene.
The first gig at a venue in town was sold out and the fans went wild.The rest of that year was spent playing live and working on new material, with the added bonus of recording thier first self titled ep due to winning a talent contest. 500 copies were printed of the cd and every last ex sold out instantly.
The next year Mistie returned to the studio recording a follow up Ep "Emotional Hangover" the band used two studios, Ear Studio and Ambassaden, but
without a contract Studiefrämjandet sponserd them. The band were to meet there first real test of caracter later that year when guitarist Johannes quit the band due to his studies, this was bad timing just two weeks befor they were due to tour Denmark Norway and Sweden. Shocked they searched high and low for a replacement but decided there sound was just as good with a quartet. The tour lasted two weeks and was amazing, proving to the band that four members worked well.

Really finding their syle they toured Sweden writing new material and recording demos up untill 2001, then once again the band became five due to a good friend who jammed alot with them and who slowley but surley became the fifth member. Without a record deal there next Ep came out of thier own pockets. "Survival Skills" was the result recorded at Ear studios. This proved a sucsess and the band made some hard earned capital. It was now up to them to chase after that well deserved record deal!
Once again history was to repeat it`s self, Morgan the guitarist decided to leave the band, but with the knowlage that they could still produce the goods this was not a problem and later signed to a new fresh lokal record company Mecapo Records after many talks with larger companys in Stockholm, Sweden.
Mecapo has some great contacts and before Mistie could take it all in the band were of to Canada to play the NXNE Festival in Toronto thanks to Indistructable Records.This was the bands first experience playing with jet lag!

2003 would prove to be a great year, booked in to record there first full album "10 times guilty" also recorded at "Ear" and having time to recharge thier batteries befor the release. Towards the end of that year Mistie also filmed their first video for the song "Somebody Said" with a release date due february 2004.
After a long and bumpy road the band feels that they are halfway toward realising the goals they have set. There is still a long way to go, many good times and a lot of work before Misties road ends!
