for rockin´ action!!!
Inspiried by the old swedish punk tradition and the hardrock of the 80´s, this band takes expressions like "hardcore", "punkrock" and "metal" a bit further and invites you to roll with the power and finesse of their brand new rock!
Outbreak was formed back in 1993 by Karl Lundgren (drums), Daniel Sultan (guitar), Andreas Ljungman (bas) and Peter Gustavsson (vocals). After putting out some demotapes and performances in their hometown Eskilstuna, they recorded the MCD "Break the pattern" (KMS Records 1996). Copies were sold at local recordstores and by mailorder companies and Outbreak got contacts through out of Sweden and started doing gigs all around the country. In 1997 the splitsingle "Outbreak vs. Carnated" (Keep It Up/Eternity Records 1997) was released with their friends in Carnated. The next year Outbreak continued touring Sweden - with Shellfire among others. Later, guitarist Berra Berthagen of Shellfire joined Outbreak and his and the other guys next recording was "The Outbreak e.p." (Monstera Music 1999). Outbreak toured Scandinavia with Lack and Complete and became infamous because of always giving 110% on stage. In 1999 the band toured Scandinavia and went to England together with Carnated during the fall. New songs were needed and after writing new material Outbreak recorded the MCD "A part of this machinery" (Rockstar Records 2001). Again together with Carnated, a Germany tour was successfully proceeded and the band started working on their first album "Information Overload".
The
Album is set for a release in Scandinavia on Rockstar Records on the 26th
of May 2003, with distribution through Dogbreath Records / Soundpollution
Distribution. Dogbreath's label mates Mecapo Records from Outbreak's hometown
Eskilstuna will do all promotion etc. together with Dogbreath.
